Sex versus making love
OK, I get it. Sometimes you just need to get laid, but for those just hooking up you’re missing a lot.
One thing I learned a long time ago while studying American sexual behavior is that a lot of couples don’t communicate their needs and desires when it comes to sex. This is even true for couples who have been married for a long time, thus the popularity of hookup sites.
Ia there really a difference between getting laid and making love? Yes, there is. Making love is sharing pleasure and wanting to make your lover as happy as possible. Making love is laying naked in bed and talking about your dreams, hopes and desires for life. Getting laid is thinking “how do I exit as soon as it’s over?”.

With social media and texting everywhere I think we are losing the ability to talk with each other rather than at each other. Hooking up is impersonal and basically your’re telling someone “your good looking enough to get into my pants”. Making love, on the other hand, is accepting people with all their flaws, accepting your lover even though they don’t have a perfect butt. It’s about wanting to give of yourself rather than surrendering to pure lust.

Believe me you’re missing a lot…
