Trump in Michigan echoes Goebbels

Goebbels says repeat a lie often enough, and people will believe it.

Trump was in Michigan spewing lies again. Trump attacked President Biden and began hammering at false claims that the 2020 election in the state was rife with fraud and corruption. Trump’s relentless disinformation campaign about the last election has left Michigan Republicans divided. While some continue to push for another review of the previous presidential election, as Trump and his allies have demanded, others have condemned attempts to relitigate the contest, saying it’s time to move on.

However, what was even scarier than Trump’s lies were his supporters. A Trump supporter claimed the Space Force would overturn the election — and there are 269,000 sealed indictments.

You can’t make this stuff up. It should be scary that there are many stupid people in this country.

Trump has consistently lied and will continue to lie because stupid people are susceptible. But alas, there is hope. Trump’s social network has been a dismal failure, and the Attorney General seems to be close to indicting people within Trump’s inner circle and even Trump himself.

I keep reading that the Democrats will be massacred in the midterm elections, but I find that hard to believe. Republicans don’t have a platform and seem only interested in limiting voting rights and stupidity.

Let’s hope there is another record turnout in the midterm elections because if Republicans gain seats in Congress, we’re all screwed.
