What happened?

I don’t think anyone can argue that living in the US has changed ever since Trump, with the help of the Russians, was elected. He allowed the ignorant and incompetent to become mainstream and rationalized bigotry and hate.

The two SCOTUS justices appointed during his watch were, at best incompetent and unqualified. They lied to Congress and the American people, and in all likelihood, they will never be held accountable.

Conservative Supreme Court Justice Barrett wrote a brief about abortion. She noted the USA needed a “domestic supply of infants” to meet the needs of parents seeking infants to adopt. She argued that mothers must give birth to their baby & give it up for adoption to meet market demands. This is not law: opinion and a key example of why she is so unqualified.

We can only estimate how many people died from COVID because of Trump’s and Republican Governors, lies, and inaction. Still have a lot of support from the MAGA crowd, who has the collective intelligence.

Now Americans are facing higher interest rates after many corporations made record profits. Housing, in many markets, is unaffordable, and rents are in the stratosphere. Governor DeSantis uses the Democratic stimulus money to kill the gas tax until the fall, which will ensure his reelection even though he acts more like a dictator than an elected representative.

In Congress, Mitch said that if Republicans regain Congress, they might attempt to make abortion illegal throughout the US.

Even with rising wages, consumers are still losing money because of inflation. It isn’t good.

All we have to fight this trend is our vote, even though Republicans are making it harder to vote. Those who believe things will “go back to normal” are deceiving themselves. We can only fight this wind with peaceful demonstrations and our votes.

Under no circumstances can we allow MAGA Republicans to succeed. You can’t afford to be silent anymore. Corporations need to find their moral voices as well. They can’t remain neutral and hide behind their brands.

AG Garland also needs to get off his ass and make some noise. Some too many politicians have lied and committed other crimes not to be arrested and bought before justice.

Unless we act NOW, we’ll live in a country ruled by a minority who wants to take the US back another 50 years.
